Column writing exploration

Title: 'ADORBCORE' GAMES TOO CUTE TO HANDLE.

This column story is an opinion story about nintendo games by Omar L. Gallaga.

I find the topic interesting because it talks about games that interest me.

Nintendo has been a part of my spare time since I was very young, and continues to be so to this day, therefore, seeing that a story has been dedicated to this company sparked my interest.

The thing that is interesting about the writing of the column story is that most, if not all of the sentences have at least one or more phrases or words that are placed in quotations. Also, a thing that is different is that this writer writes in the first person, stating his views and opinions.

I think that the purpose and point of this column story is to show how adorable nintendo games are now a days.

Title: LITTLE PIECES OF HURT WILL SOUR ANY RELATIONSHIP

This column story is an opinion story about how hurtful words do not come without consequence. It is written by Judson Edwards.

I find the topic interesting because it talks about how words actually do matter and that you should think before you speak.

Every now and then I admit to saying hurtful words to others in defense of myself. If they say hurtful words, I tend to send them back with even more rigor and sarcasm. This is what sparked my interest, and drew me to this piece.

One thing that is interesting about this story is that the author does not view things in the first person perspective, but instead provides accounts he has seen or witnessed in order to strengthen his claim.

I think that the purpose and point of this column story is to show how words actually do carry meaning, meaning powerful enough to warp relationships for better or worse.

Using quotes from interviews

Trump interview...

"Im talking about a fair war" and "We will take money back from other countries that are killing us" are two quotes I found really stood out from the trump interview. The reason they really stood out is because this man obviously theorizes everything and fails to understand the consequences that will occur because of these actions. How will the other countries react to this change? how will this "Fair war" play out? obviously this man does not understand the concept of war and how it occurs...

What I learned from this interview is how disappointed I am for this country. We pick out these horrible leaders that have not the foggiest idea of leadership and how to run a country. "Wow, you have money, incredible, can you lead? no? That's ok, you have money." Is how I think general american's thinking process works. This man, if he gets elected, would get eaten alive by all the other leaders in the world, for example Putin.

Next interview (Putin)

The person that is being interviewed is Putin, the president of Russia.

A memorable quote from the interview was "There is something I have in common with every citizen of Russia, the love for our motherland."

The memorable quote was prompted by the question "Why are you so popular?"

Honestly, this interview proved to me that Putin is a very strong leader, cunning and well spoken. This interview unfortunately made me realize that we should actually be afraid of Putin because he is patient, and with his intelligence, will be clever enough to strike when the opportunity is right, unlike our brazen "leaders" that this country is so stupid to elect...

Putin said, "There is something I have in common with every citizen of Russia, the love for our motherland.

Fragmentary quote.
