What makes a good news story?
A strong lead makes a good news story. Of the five stories that were listed, I would probably read the one titled 'Finding new ways to lose'. Even though I am not a sports fan, I would be drawn to the article because of the fact that the lead and title were interesting enough.
The one that was most interesting to me was 'Finding new ways to lose'. What I think that the story is about is a criticizing report about the many ways the Texas longhorn team manages to lose. Though this is a very opinionated story, the way that it is started makes me think that it would turn out to be a very humorous report that is either critiquing or supportive.
