- The rule of lines was followed quite well in my opinion.
- The subject is the boy walking along the stone path
- It is very clear as to who the subject is, as he is the only one along the path, and the line practically points to him.
- I feel that this picture is wonderful, and I really don't think I would take something differently, except for taking a slightly brighter picture.
- I feel that this picture was taken in a way that it could be two rules both balance and rule of thirds, even though my intent was to make it a rule of thirds photo.
- The subject was the girl in red.
- Though she stands out and is supposed to be the main subject, to some it may seem that the big tree is the subject.
- I possibly could have emphasized that the girl is the main subject by making her move a little bit forward and including less of the tree in the photo.
- Oh my Lord! Is that a tree growing out of her head?! Oh, no, this is just a bad merger. I feel that the avoiding mergers rule was not applied here, instead, I intentionally created one.
- The subject in the photo is the girl squatting under the tree.
- Yes it is clear that the girl is the subject of the photo
- If I was to not create a merger, I would take the background into consideration, and make sure that after I took the picture, it does not seem to mix into the subject.
- Here we have a simple picture. I feel that the simplicity rule was followed well in this photo.
- The subject in the photo is the girl.
- Yes, I feel that she would be instantly seen by someone viewing the picture, considering that she is the only thing in the picture.
- I feel like this picture is wonderful for a simple picture, and I would not really do anything differently to change it.
- I feel that the rule of framing was followed well in this photograph.
- The subject in the photo is the girl in red.
- The viewer knows that the subject is the girl because the walls practically frame her on the picture and highlight that she is there.
- I really like how the walls and the ceiling enclose the girl in a natural frame, and I would not really do anything differently to it.
- I feel that this photo is decent and kind of follows the balancing rule.
- The subject is the person wearing a blue hoodie.
- The viewer can tell that the person is the subject.
- What I could have done better is take into account the background, and get rid of the random window. Also I could have positioned the camera straighter, because this picture looks lopsided and messes with the balance.
Reflection:
- One of the problems I faced during the shoot was that I could not get the lens to focus correctly. For example, when I was taking the simplicity picture I could not get the lens to focus only on the subject and blur out the background. In order to get a good shot, I simply moved around. I moved to a completely blank background to take the simplicity picture, and when I took it, it actually ended up being pretty good. Another problem was that I could not keep the camera straight. An example would be the balancing photo. This picture seems kind of lopsided when looked at, and I feel that this slightly messes with the intended balance of the shot. These were some of the problems I encountered.
- The technical aspects that I kept in mind were the positioning of the subjects, the lighting, and the angle in which the pictures were taken. An example is the rule of thirds photo. For this photo, I had to move around because sometimes the sun created a reflection on the lens and if I just took a picture, it would have a yellow orb in the middle. Not only that, but if I moved around too much, I would mess with the position of the subjects, so I had to constantly look through the lens so that I would not mess up the photo.
